The WDSLA team is built to integrate and balance varied experiences, energy, diversity, and professional viewpoints. Some of our more experienced staff bring elevated technical experience from prior careers and are utilized as specialists in their areas of expertise to enhance WDSLA's internal processes. To that end, our team includes career and younger professionals and proudly reflects the inclusive and diverse demographic that our clients deserve.

Each staff member brings key attributes complementary to our core values. The result is a team that is intelligent, creative, thorough, engaged, driven, and fun to work with.

Keith Wilson, PLA, ASLA

Principal Landscape Architect

Keith founded WDSLA in 2010, and brings over 25 years of experience in landscape architecture as a lead designer, project manager, and principal-in-charge. Keith has extensive experience leading innovative design focused multidisciplinary teams, overseeing design team meetings, organizing and facilitating community engagement efforts, and providing project construction support services to both private and public clients. Keith's skills as a facilitator of community outreach processes include educating the public, assisting residents in articulating a vision for their outdoor spaces, and guiding stakeholders in identifying and achieving priorities for their community.

Keith Billick, PLA, ASLA

Senior Associate Landscape Architect

Keith joined WDSLA in 2020, and brings over 30 years of experience in community planning, urban design, and landscape architecture, primarily as a project manager/team lead. Keith's career and travels have taken him to many exciting cities nationally and internationally, and given him a broad and inclusive perspective on urban, residential, and recreational design. As Keith has grown personally and professionally, his design perspective has evolved into the idea that meaningful design - whether at a regional, city, neighborhood or pocket scale - is accomplished through vision, intention, and collaboration. For the past couple decades, Keith has promoted the social, environmental and economic benefits of memorable urban park planning and design.

Jessica McWilliams, PLA, ASLA

Associate Landscape Architect

Jessica joined WDSLA in 2016 and has been an integral component in the firm's growth and expansion. Jessica has experience working on public parks, retail, commercial, and industrial centers, master planned communities, public education facilities, multi-family developments, senior living communities, streetscapes, trail planning, and public art.  With her passion for the profession, Jessica leads our staff by managing projects and daily workflow, as well as mentorship of our growing staff. Jessica believes everyone deserves to have a quality outdoor space. Creating those quality spaces within the project budget is key and she thrives on meeting both the end users needs as well as the client's budgetary limitations.

Robert Goss, PLA, ASLA

Senior Associate Landscape Architect

Robert joined WDSLA in 2018. Robert brings strategic knowledge of the civic improvement project process to WDSLA. Prior to his 25-year career with the City of Folsom, he spent 10 years in private practice as a designer and project manager for both private and civic works, with an emphasis on public capital improvements projects. As the City of Folsom's first landscape architect, Robert had responsibility for developing its park and recreation system. With full responsibility for budget, community involvement, design, bidding and construction administration, he has uncommon experience in the Parks and Recreation and Public Works Departments. He ascended to Folsom's Parks and Recreation director, serving 14 years where he shaped an award-winning department and community of distinction.

Nate Oakley, PLA, ASLA

Associate Landscape Architect

Nate joined WDSLA in 2019 and has since managed a wide range of projects, including urban design, higher education, multi-use detention basins, public parks, large-scale trail planning, streetscapes, multi-family developments, non-profit initiatives, and high-end residential properties. As a key point of contact for stakeholders and clients, Nate's focus when leading project teams is always to ensure projects stay on budget, are sustainable from a long-term maintenance perspective, and that our teams produce thorough construction documentation. With Nate's certification as an arborist, he enhances the firm's approach to tree preservation and management, saving clients money and time. Nate's work is driven by a commitment to creating landscapes that are both functional and visually appealing, while promoting sustainability and community engagement.

Yashoda Godhani

Project Manager

Yashoda joined WDSLA in 2021. Yashoda will tell you that she is a bit of a perfectionist, but that just means she likes to go above and beyond for everyone and everything she believes in. As an Urban Designer with a strong interest in the technical side of the profession, Yashoda enjoys outdoor space layouts especially. Yashoda enjoys figuring out the "connections" into and out of an outdoor space, and she is dedicated to making sure that every project is a success and exceeds all expectations. When Yashoda is not working, you can find her exploring the city for the perfect brunch spot and the best cup of coffee.

Connor Waters

Project Manager

Connor joined WDSLA in 2023.  Connor has experience working on small scale projects, public parks, multi-family developments, streetscapes, trail planning, and large-scale community master plans. Connor's passion for Landscape Architecture comes from his interest in connecting people together through outdoor environments, all the while considering inclusivity, local ecologies, social constructs, and overall functionality. Connor loves interacting with others to create thoughtful spaces that create an identity for the surrounding communities.

Nathalia Frignani-Burini

Landscape Designer

Nathalia joined WDSLA in 2022. Nathalia's design approach is influenced by the different perspectives she has been exposed to during her travels and her passion for nature. In Nathalia's designs, she strives to create landscapes and outdoor spaces that connect living, man-made, and urban built landscapes to local natural ecologies, and take into consideration social factors, multi-functionality, and inclusivity. Nathalia enjoys getting to know the context of a project's site and designing for solutions that meet a wide range of needs. In the process, Nathalia enjoys being a part of on open-minded team who is always willing to bounce ideas off from each other and design together.

Juan Ramos

Landscape Designer

Juan joined WDSLA in 2022, as a new graduate from the UC Davis Landscape Architecture program. With the guidance from the WDSLA team, it has been an effortless process for Juan to attain the knowledge required for every step of a project to be completed at an exceptional standard. The time Juan has spent at WDSLA has also granted him a plethora of diverse exposures that continues to expand his skill sets for all project categories ranging from residential, civic, and parks.

Andrew Mancini

Landscape Designer

Andrew joined WDSLA in 2023, as a recent UC Davis graduate. Andrew is passionate about the philosophy of landscape design that focuses on prioritizing both community and ecology. His educational experience provided him with an understanding of design and how to create thoughtful and intentional spaces. Andrew loves the design process and collaborating with others. As he continues to grow professionally, Andrew's attention to detail and self-driven nature will be integrated into the full design process from conceptual design and master planning through construction documents and construction administration.

Norma Pekelo Kuykendall

Controller

Prior to joining WDSLA as Controller in April 2019, Norma spent 10 years in the private sector, followed by a 30-year career in the public sector in the areas of finance management and administration. While at the City of Folsom, Norma worked in various positions in four different departments: Accountant in Finance, Analyst in Public Works, Budget Manager in City Manager’s Office, and Senior Management Analyst in Parks and Recreation. Norma also served as a liaison to Human Resources for recruitment and retention; supervised support staff; administered special projects; and managed and negotiated contracts. Early in her career she developed a new format for the annual budget document for which the City received its first GFOA (Government Finance Officers Association) award for producing a distinguished budget document.

 

Norma's excellent organizational, leadership, mentoring, and team building skills provide a positive influence on others to do their best toward a common goal.
