SAC CITY FIRE STATION 15

WDSLA worked on landscape improvements for this LEED Silver certified, single story, three-bay, 8,500 SF fire station included on and off-site improvements with a total budget of $3.7 million. Fire station projects must balance design for a comfortable, 24-hour living environment with maintenance performed by fire department staff with little or no formal training and many other job priorities.

For this project, the site was previously developed as a City park containing existing trees requiring permitted removal and mitigation. Off-site improvements required the creation of a new turning lane in an existing landscaped median on West El Camino Ave.
